Australia get iTunes TV Shows
June 24, 2008

The Australian iTunes store is the most recent store to now offer Television programming. ABC, Disney, MTv, Nine Network and the Australian Broadcasting Networks are all well represented in the store, with a standard $2.99 AUS cost per show. Australian shows such as,
Sleek Geeks,
We Can Be Heroes and
McLeod's Daughters all appear in the store
One notable difference is the lack of season passes. This means Australian users will be checking for new episodes weekly, a trend we can't see lasting very long. We assume season passes will soon be added, as at the current rate a season of episodes will be much higher then purchasing the series on DVD.
