Lindy's Mini NAS Enclosure

August 2, 2007   0 Comments

LINDY is releasing a MacMini inspired NAS Enclosure (32487). The enclosure will accept standard 3.5" IDE/ATA hard drives up to 400GB. After completing the simple setup the NAS will allow users to quickly share files over their home networks. Simply install the hard drive and add it to your network with its standard 10/100 RJ-45 Ethernet port. The built in FTP server allows for 5 FTP users and the DHCP Samba server can host 64 online clients. All of this is impressive for the little box.

The design of the enclosure is borrowed from their USB/Firewire enclosure (42919), to compliment and fit under the MacMini. The device also features a low volume fan and aluminum cover to assist in dissipation heat. A built-in USB 2.0 port allows it to be used as a regular external hard drive. In addition to the snazzy Network interface, a built-in USB 2.0 port allows it to be used as a regular external hard drive.

Unfotunately, both the NAS are only available in the UK at this time for £64.99.
