iTheater 0.2 released (and then pulled)
July 16, 2007
UPDATE:0.2 has been pulled due to a glitch in new installations. The iTheater team is working hard to resolve the problem and get 0.2 back up. We'll keep you posted!iTheater reached version 0.2 this morning. The latest release features two features that were requested from their user base. The iTheater team has been working around the clock to keep new releases coming, and address any bugs or errors which need to be worked out during this beta process. The current version is available for
download.
The first being Multiple Monitor support, which is huge for us using an Apple Notebook. Now you can choose to display the media center app on your main or secodnary screen. This is great for presentations. Set this preference in the preference panel (duh!)
The second is iTheater Menu bar... this is pretty explanatory. Right? Well it helps with quicker access to the iTheater Preferences and keyboard short cuts.
Future updates include System Update, which will allow iTheater to detect the latest version and download it automatically. Sparkle the application behind this is already i successful use with Adium.
iTheater is a Mac Media Center application started before Apple's FrontRow hit the destops. Current iTheater features include DVD, Video_TS playback, Video, Music, Photos, and Widgets. The application is Universal for both Intel and IBM Macintosh based machines. If you would like to get involved, iTheater is always looking for talented people to
join their
team.
