SageTV for the Mac

December 22, 2006   0 Comments
SageTV has released a Mac Placeshifter Client. Notice I said viewer client and not server. SageTV requires a Windows or Linux PC to run the Media Center software. With a capabale video caputre card/device you may schedule tv shows etc. This content can then be streamed over the internet or locally to you Mac.

The interface looks nice. I'm curious about Apple Remote compatiability. Of course the major red flag here is that this is not an all-in-one solution, and requires a Windows or Linux PC. They are developing a Mac Media Center version of the software due next year. Could you imagine accessing your FrontRow/iTunes media over the internet when you travel? This would of been great for my last jump accross the pond.
